In line with our focus on Education, we also run our Schools Programme, through which our members will attend schools to deliver seminars and mentoring sessions on topics of relevance to the schools pupils.
There has been a particular call for sessions on black history to help fill a recognised gap in the general school curriculum.
Our aim is to support and supplement the school programme by addressing school pupils on issues of black history as well as general life skills, including peer pressure; guns, knives and violence, goal setting etc.
We also have links with other organisations that specialise in engaging with and helping to develop schools' relationship with their black pupils
